Parma is the undisputed capital city of the Italian Food Valley, and this tour gives participants the chance to learn about the local gastronomy by visiting selected producers to taste their wares. A hands-on cooking class in a Michelin-starred kitchen follows where you'll learn the secrets to making the region's traditional pastas.

The day starts out with Parmigiano-Reggiano, the regal "King of Cheeses." Smell the milk, feel the steam and tap the enormous wheels of cheese! A tasting session follows the tour of the production facilities.

Afterwards you'll be welcomed at the Antica Corte Pallavicina, a medieval estate that hides in its 12th century aging cellars more that 5,000 Culatello di Zibello hams, the world's most precious cold cut. Who are some of the famous clients who have discovered this amazing product? Prince Charles of England, Prince Albert of Monaco, and Giorgio Armani, to name just three.

You'll visit of this intriguing labyrinth of flavors and then participate in a hands-on cooking lesson focused on pasta: a real full immersion in how to make anolini, tortelli, ravioli, tagliolini, tagliatelle, stringoni, and pasta rasa by hand. Lunch with the food you have personally cooked, together with a selection of the cured meats produced on the farm, will follow the class.
