The Venice Airport Shuttle offers shared shuttle service to/from the Marco Polo Airport to/from hotels in the center of Venice. A speedy and comfortable motor boat will drop you off on the Grand Canal at the nearest public dock to your hotel. Should your hotel be located along the Grand Canal with its own accessible dock, then you will be dropped directly at the hotel. This service is a more economical way of getting to/from your hotel than taking a private water taxi.
As soon as your reservation is confirmed, Select Italy will send you a confirmation voucher with all the information for your booking. Once you arrive at the Venice Airport, go to the circular APT desk in the arrivals terminal, just outside the baggage claim area and slightly to the right as you exit. You will be directed to the pier where the boat is docked. The pier is 500 yards (a 10-minute walk) from the airport. You will be dropped off on the Grand Canal at the nearest public dock to your hotel. Should your hotel be located along the Grand Canal with its own accessible dock, then you will be dropped directly at the hotel.
From Venice Hotels to Marco Polo Airport
Once your reservation is confirmed, Select Italy will send you a confirmation voucher. Then, the day before your departure, or on Friday if you are departing over the weekend, a fax will be sent to your hotel with the time and place where the boat will pick you up. Please be at the established pier 15 minutes before the scheduled time, usually 2.5/3 hours before your flight's departure time.
Shuttle Boats & Luggage Allowance The boats hold from 8 to 10 passengers and the average ride takes 35 to 45 minutes, depending on the number of stops needed. Passengers are allowed to bring one piece of luggage and one shoulder bag or small backpack free of charge. A 6.00 euros fee is charged for the second piece of luggage, to be paid on board. Any additional bags will be delivered to your hotel on another boat at an extra cost.
Other information Please note that you will be dropped off on the Grand Canal at the nearest public dock to your hotel. Should your hotel be located along the Grand Canal with its own accessible dock, then you will be dropped off directly at the hotel. The shuttle service does not include any luggage transport service between the boat pier and the airport or the hotel.
All no-show clients will have their shuttle service cancelled and will be charged the full price. No-show clients are those who do not show up at the established place and time without prior notification to and confirmation by a Select Italy agent. In case of a delayed flight, clients must notify Select Italy and wait for confirmation of the new service time.
Same-day flight delays or baggage loss (and subsequent delay) don't need to be reported. The shuttle supplier will automatically accommodate you on the next available shuttle.
Clients with next-day flight delays, including cancelled and missed flights, must call Select Italy before their reservation time. Service changes, both same-day and next-day, are not guaranteed. Travelers will be accommodated on a space-available basis. Next-day service changes must be confirmed by a Select-Italy agent prior to the original reservation time.
